AZ Delta
ARADar, the learning and innovation department of AZ Delta, is at the forefront of advancing healthcare through smart innovation, particularly by harnessing the power of AI and data science. Our focus on AI-driven models and structured clinical data, especially within the context of pathology trajectories, positions RADar as a key player in transforming healthcare through technology.
One project (FHIN® – RADar – Learning & Innovation Center) we are currently working on, called FHIN (Federated Health Innovation Network), involves creating a shared OMOP (Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership) Common Data Model (CDM) across 9 hospitals. This project is a significant and ambitious effort. By standardizing healthcare data across institutions, we're enabling the development of more robust and generalizable AI models, which can drive improvements in patient care, treatment outcomes, and operational efficiencies.
The role of IT in this initiative is absolutely crucial. Given that you're working on integrating and transforming data from electronic patient records (EPD), imaging, lab, and other sources, IT professionals are key to ensuring that data flows seamlessly, securely, and in a way that aligns with the evolving needs of the service. Their understanding of the system's technical and functional requirements will help enable the necessary changes to make innovation projects a success.
